Filing of Director KYC 2022 (DIN-3 KYC) With ROC

Director’s KYC Filing is a yearly action that applies to everyone who received a DIN (Director Identification Number) by March 31, 2022. The goal of submitting the DIR-3 KYC form to the ROC is to maintain the ROC’s records up to date with the accurate address, phone number, and email address of the directors/designated partners. It is an obligatory filing, and there is no government charge if filed by the due date of September 30, 2022. DIN Numbers that do not have the KYC done by the required date are deactivated. This can be rectified by submitting the DIR-3 KYC, but there is a fee of Rs. 5000 for each defaulting director.

  • A Director / Designated Partner with a deactivated DIN cannot form a new company or LLP until the DIN is revived.

The MCA21 system would deactivate any authorised DINs (allocated on or before March 31, 2022) for which a DIR-3 KYC form has not been filed by September 30, 2022, with the explanation “Non-filing of DIR-3 KYC.” An individual whose DIN has been deactivated is ineligible to take a directorship in any firm.
